I know the topic of insurance, plan types, deductibles, etc. can be confusing & overwhelming. I'm not here to tell you which plan/what to do/how to pay/etc. I want to share something I recently learned! As insurance changes due to technology updates, or pandemic occurrences--knowing where to find the latest updates is important but conveniently being able to access them is crucial! So for health care awareness, I wanted to share a link I frequently reference and have bookmarked for quick checks when we're out grocery shopping. Especially when we can't remember what we're allowed to use our spending account on.
They've recently updated the interface of this page, where you can now click "Non-qualifying Medical Expense List". Also, a short list of the most popular HSA expenses is at the top. Many more items are added to the large list of things than before.
I personally find the most convenient way to use this webpage is with the search function, similar to the ctrl + F on a desktop. It allows quick filtering of items we have in your cart while waiting in line to checkout, so I can quickly sort out which items we will use our medical account with! As highlighted in the images below, I will toggle through all matched items while the left side shows where those matched items can be found on the entire page.
